NEW YORK, NY, June 25, 2024 — The 2024 Heart of New York City Gala brought hearts together to save lives and strive for equitable health for everyone living in New York City. With more than $3.5 million raised, the funds will support the life-saving work of the American Heart Association to fight heart disease and stroke.

The 2024 Heart of New York City Gala was chaired by Joe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies. The Legacy Sponsors included Simone Development Companies and Compass One Healthcare; Presenting Sponsors were Unitex Textile and Centers Health Care. The annual celebratory event honored survivors, patrons and volunteers of the American Heart Association. The evening featured stories from survivors, as well as dinner, dancing, and an exciting auction. Rosanna Scotto, Emmy Award-winning journalist and anchor of Fox 5’s Good Day New York, emceed the event. More than 700 guests attended the centennial celebration, which was held at Cipriani Wall Street with a 1920s theme.

“The event was a culmination of the year’s work to equitably improve and save lives from heart disease and stroke,” said Joe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies and member of the New York City American Heart Association board. “The Heart of New York City Gala marks a special moment in time to reflect, honor and celebrate the progress made through the determination, dedication, and passion of all who have supported the organization throughout the year.”

Funds raised through the Heart of New York City campaign and Heart Gala support the Association’s work to fund research, education, community outreach, and advocacy in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
