Joseph Simone, President of Simone Development Companies, Acquires Industrial Showroom/Office Flex Property in Port Chester

koe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies, has announced that Fortina, one of the region’s most exciting restaurants, is coming to Simone’s 85,000-square-foot mixed-used Boyce Thompson Center in Yonkers.

“It is a proud moment for Simone Development Companies and the City of Yonkers to welcome Fortina, one of the area’s most popular restaurants, to the Boyce Thompson Center. Fortina will bring a new level of energy to the local dining scene and be an important dimension of our mixed-use community center,” said Mr. Simone.

“Fortina builds on the momentum of leasing success that we have experienced at the Boyce Thompson Center. We recently announced that St. John’s Riverside Hospital, which is the largest community hospital in Westchester County, is leasing a freestanding building at the center. Adding exciting retail such as Fortina is part of our strategy to create a unique mixed-use environment with healthcare and retail. This is the wave of the future for healthcare facilities,” Mr. Simone said.

Joe Simone Joins with Yonkers Officials Celebrate Groundbreaking of Boyce Thompson Center

Joe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies, joined with local officials and community leaders to mark the grand opening of Simone’s new Throggs Neck Shopping Center in the Ferry Point section of The Bronx.

“This wonderful new retail center is yet another example of how Simone Development is helping to transform and revitalize the New Bronx with innovative commercial and retail projects that create new jobs and boost the Bronx economy,” said Mr. Simone.

“The new Throggs Neck Shopping Center is a prime example of our dedication to repurposing vacant and under-utilized commercial property in the New York metropolitan area. We acquired this site in 2011. The property had been used as a Postal Service equipment transfer station for many years and had been closed since 2010. What was once a vacant property is now a thriving retail center creating jobs and providing local residents with national brand name retailers and restaurants including Target, TJ Maxx, Famous Footwear, Sleepy’s, Petco, Skechers, Starbucks. and Applebee’s, to name few,” Mr. Simone said.
